X-files - Great start. Have you had success with this in the past? The reason I ask is that I've always thought it was best to bet with streaks, not against them. It looks like you are picking your spots and not blindly betting versus all streaks which I suppose is good. Anyway, good luck!!!

B&G, i've had some recent success with a similar idea in BJ,
but otherwise this is not something i've tried before. I have
heard cappers here & in the other sports forums speak of
going with the streaking, hot teams, & i suppose there may
be something to that, & that they pick their spots also,
although i wonder how they determine when to start and
stop wagering on a "hot" team & when it is that the team
becomes "hot" or not hot. BTW, I've noticed that there are
one or two here in the MLB forum that fade a team that
wins the first one or two games in a series. I am looking at
fading teams that are on a winning streak, or wagering on
teams that are on a losing streak. If you played on the NY
Yankees last year after each loss and doubled up after
each loss up to 5 consecutive losses {which was the most
they lost in a row}, you would have made about 40 units.
I think the Red Sox & Mets also lost no more than five
straight, except the NYM lost 11 near the end of the year.

X-files - I determine that a team is "streaking" at +3 or -3. I actually use that as one factor in my capping but not a deciding factor.

Doubling up 5 times could cost you A LOT of money.

True, especially if it were on the NYY ML. Not that i have decided
to double up on them after every loss, but will more likely consider
one or more wagers on them till they win after they go on a bit of
a losing streak. This is in harmony with one of the principles that i
am using with BJ. Could also play them on the RL {-1/-1.5} as i
did earlier. BTW, last year they also started out slow, at ~ .500.
