blue and sherm,

long time ranger fan and dfw local guy here. i cant tell you how many times ive seen HO (thats what me and my boys refer to him as around here) look completely lost on the mound since he has been in arlington. he is a complete mental midget and is ALWAYS good for one "meltdown" inning. i am astonished at what im seeing tonight. it looks as if hershiser finally got him to develop and utilize that sinker. however i am not naive enough to go and start believing in him just yet. he has let me and the rangers down more times than i can remember and i know he will blowup.....its just a matter of time. i really wanted to take the rangers tonight BUT the only reason i didnt was cuz HO was on the hill....

blue,

first congrats on a profitable day. second, you will be able to make up your lost coin tenfold if you keep betting against HO the rest of this season. just consider this some friendly local advice. best of luck dude.

p.s. as i type this HO is beginning his patented meltdown 6-3 now

Park is hitting his spots like he hasn't in year's past. Orel has managed to instill some confidence in this pitching staff, and I would not be at all surprised to see Park win 13-15 games this year.

Now if we can just get Frankie and Carlos back we'll be a dangerous ballclub.

I think you are seeing the real Park right now. Injuries have hampered him the last 3 years in Texas. What you are seeing now is what Tom Hicks paid 90mil for 3 years ago.

there is no difference between $65 million and $90 million. tell me one thing that you can buy with $90 million that you can't buy with $65 million.

these salaries are crazy. the only guys worth it are guys like schilling...who win when it counts.

the whole thing should be incentive based. every player gets a base salary of $100k and everything else gets paid out as you perform. chan ho would have been pulling a ric-shaw back in north korea two years ago.
