$2-$5 when you drop off and pick up. Valet is key when trying to get that last minute bet down. Give em a buck and your car can wait there while you bet. This is Tahoe I'm talking about here so it might be different in "the city".
Have fun

usually 1-2 bucks, depending on where your at, could be higher.

to me, tips are aggravating, casino's for sure. nowadays, everyone expects a tip, it is getting quite ridiculous.

i am not one to talk, when i am drinking, i tip well. i would love to have all the tips i have thrown around at a winning blackjack, or craps session.

Tip more at the casino when you drop off, better to let them know you are a player.

5 dollars...

Tips are EVERTHING to them so why not go the extra mile especially if they are professional and respectful in the way they handle you?

Concur the shrinker, $5 is appropriate, especially if it is an establishment or service you use somewhat frequently.

It's funny you should post this cause I left a club last night in NJ thinking I was cheap for leaving the valet 3 dollars.

Still think I am after all the money I spend gambling.

Fat Tony,

Those are my sentiments exactly. If I can afford to lose 5 dollars to a bookmaker, then why not use it to TIP?

I'd much prefer to have the Valet Parker end up with this small amount than a bookmaker...

And who do you think it means MORE to?

Was in the Chcago Area a month or so ago, went to an old classic restaurant in the area; Jack Gibbons Gardens. I pulled up for Valet parking, when the guy came I handed him a $10 bill ( Iowa plates- so who knows what might happen, just wanted to be safe). When we came out after dinner the same guy brought the car up. The friggin car had been detailed! Vaccumed, windows washed in and out, polished like new outside and ArmorAll on the tires!

I tried to give the guy another $10 and he wouldn't take it! Just said he appreciated that I took care of him up front.

Now that is service! I still feel guilty for only giving him $10.

Exactly.

I have a friend who has money, but when he gets killed at the track, he eats only hamburgers and tips 10% for the next month to make up for it. It's insane, isn't it??

I usually tip 10 up front and 5 on the way out. If you tip when you pull up and ask them to keep it close, they will. I hate sitting there for 10 minutes waiting for them to find you car.
