Matt Roth

College: Iowa
Year: Senior
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 255
Birthday: October 14, 1982
[/font]

Matt Roth brings a lot to the table, not the least of which is his sense of humor. When asked about getting his picture in Playboy Magazine (as part of its annual All-American team), he replied, "I thought my mom and sister would beat me to it."

MATT will probably not go in the 1st round, thus I will go on record in saying he will be a STEAL for any team that picks him up........FISHHEAD

If Iowa dropped the football program, Fish would recommend a janitor from there.

Meathead- You seem to be pleased with Dallas Clark, who came with my highest recommendation, so lets keep your yap shut for the time being.

Thanks,

Last year was the year of the WR. I thought it may be that way from the talent at the position, and the need. Especially with the rule change. This year might be year of the RB. If you can't get a TO type then you need a good RB to keep him off the field. You could see 3-4 RB's go in the first round. I can't remember that ever happening. You could also see a good QB drop to a lower spot, like Big Ben last year. He was my top predraft QB, ahead of Rivers and Eli. This year is a coin flip, I like Smith intangibles and leadership, but Cal's kid is more NFL ready, like Big Ben. Any team that runs a pro set or NFL type offense will give their QB a head start in the NFL. The 49ers are leaning towards Cal kid, but with that new front office organization, and new head coach, I am basically clueless as to what direction they will go without a track record. I think free agency has much more immediate impact than the draft.

Should be interesting...OF:digit:

I dont know if this is classified as a surprise, but you gotta love Matt Jones QB from Arkansas. Tight end size, with wide reciever speed. If I were an NFL gm, I would have a hard time passing up his potential. The great Bill Walsh once said, the biggest draft mistakes are the picks you dont make, not the ones you do make. What he meant by that is, he would rather pick a bust, then let a potential HOFer pass him by.

Poster Hawkeye171 has been very high on this kid for quite sometime.

Tough kid that gives 110%, much like the aformentioned Matt Roth.

He will be a steal in the 2nd round. I hope he lands to the Saints.
