I would not watch a down of nfl if it wasnt for gambling. I am not very impressed by type of athlete, coach, gm, or fan that the nfl produces. As for gambling there is much more value in female or college athletics than pro sports.

Fishhead,

Lakers and Dodgers are LA, which is not SoCal, like USC which has an Orange County fan base. I have been watching Long Beach State Volleyball.

Have you been to a USC game? It doesn't seem very OC'ish to me. Of course, I bought a scalped ticket that put me in the student section.

So tell us, what is the fan base for Long Beach State Volleyball?

Rail,

I just checked with NFL players association and as a man they said that they weren't too impressed with your athletic ability either.... imagine that. Oops, sorry, Doug Flutie said he thought you were a stud. So that makes it about 1600 against, 1 for.

Highdaddy is right on the money here. Media discussion heats up in April because of the upcoming draft on the 23rd. People that enjoy the NFL, and particularly in viewing draft day, get pretty excited about what players might be added to their favorite teams. It's become a much bigger media event then years ago. Believe that is why the interest in April. After the draft, things calm down again until mini-camps open up. Personally, my local team has the #1 draft choice and I could care less because this team will continue to have problems due to its clueless ownership. Selling the team to a new owner would get me excited.

Makes sense coming from a women's volleyball groupie. Probably has too much sand in his shoes.

The NFL is the only major sport left that hasn't been ruined by foolish owners and greed(baseball, hockey, basketball)
