Coming off a division championship in 2003, the Ravens had four primetime games last year, including three on Sunday night. By receiving four national games again in 2005, the NFL anticipates the Ravens will be back competing for another playoff berth.

“I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing,” said Ravens coach Brian Billick. “The players, obviously, the whole organization, it’s great when our fans can be rewarded that way when you have those national games. It’s a little something special, particularly the night games, Sunday night, Monday night, there’s a certain energy that goes with it, so you look forward to those games.”

They are not going anywhere with Kyle Boller or Anthony Wright at the QB position. They will fail to meet expectations again if they do not upgrade that position.

Only way Baltimore makes it to the Super Bowl is if they buy the tickets off Tice.

Agree with Froggy, unless the defence of 2000 shows up, this is a 9-7 team with the stiffs they have at QB.

Neon is exempt from tackling dummy practice because he doesn't during games. More of a distraction. They keep thinking Boller is going to develop, while others, like myself, have given up on him. Like Harrington in Detroit. Seems like if you do not get it after a few years, you may never get it. Kyle is not getting it. And he has the running game. Inspires zero confidence in the offense. How many game winning drives does he have? A lot of new horses in their division now. They get primetime on Killer Ray Lewis, the D and a former great team. The defense was hardly killer last year, and the offense was pedestrian, at best. I see a defense on the decline, and an offense that does not scare anyone. Could finish 3rd. No playoffs, again. boller has either one or 2 winning drives. his numbers improved from his first year. if he improves from his second to third year, he will be good enough for this team to make a run...

I do not rate improvement in degrees of stinkiness. He did not stink it up as much last year as the year before. RPM, the guy stinks it up. He has to be one of the lowest rated starting QB's in the league. And you cannot say he never had a running game. Plus a lot of teams run right at them now, a long time since Tony S. manned the line. I really thought he had no game winning drives. So I guess maybe 1 or 2 is not megalame.

I think Carolina is going to be real tough, providing they stay healthy.
This team had alot of key injuries last year.

Yes, the Panthers were snakebit with early injuries. They also were not able to sneak up on anyone, no longer had an easy schd and no longer won all of those close ones. They were not as good as two years ago, but not as bad as last year. Still, Falcons with improved D look like the team to beat, as far as the Panthers are concerned. Probably offer great value as a dog.

he had one against the jets last year, and i think he had one in the game after the jets as well. there were lots of articles about him for like 2 or 3 weeks in a row because of it.

frog,

also, the ravens running game wasnt all that impressive last year with jamal lewis missing a lot of games due to injury and suspension.

in his absence, chester taylor averaged like 80 yards per game...

Carolina should be back strong...losing Davis and Smith killed them....the Ravens had even more injuries...the schedule is easier that is a start .
