Why does the NBA put up with this nonsense? They start games whenever they choose to start them, halftimes last anywhere from 19-25 minutes, its a friggin joke! The Heat game started 7 minutes after the Knick game tonight and is now a full quarter behind them. How many commercials can we see, TNT puts the superbowl to shame. Only TNT could turn an NBA game into a 3 hour borefest, I hope David Stern and the TNT executives choke on one of there commercials!!!:finger: :finger: :finger: :finger:

I was thinking last night. The Dallas-Seattle game was supposed to start at 10:30. I didn't get to bed until almost 1:30. That is frigging crazy for an NBA game.

Pretty funny, a network "ruining" the NBA. If you don't like the policies, why bother watching? Halftimes aren't any longer, I was at a TNT game in Philly earlier this year and it was the standard time allotted, 15 minutes. I happen to like TNT, especially Kevin Harlan and John Thompson. The studio crew too is good, nothing beats Sir Charles even if he is turning his back on the Suns this year saying we are no good for the playoffs.

Love watching Sir Charles and Kenny Smith go at it. Very entertaining! TNT much better than watching Bill Walton do anything on ABC/ESPN, now that is painful on the ears.

Walton does suck, but Stephen A is even worse. Having spent some time watching local Philly TV this year I have to wonder how that guy keeps a job. He is a d*ck no matter what he is talking about, whether its AI or John Street, the mayor of Philly.

I like TNT thursday, often have it on in background. I don't watch but last 2 minutes if I have a bet. TV game or not doesn't influence my bets. NBA is a tough watch ! I generally like that I can see it if I choose to torture myself by watching it.

I thought I read that TNT got better ratings for their half-time and post-game shows than many of their games, even play-off games. Might be a reason why they stretch them out as they get better buy rates for commercials then than during their games!

Barkley offers nothing more than what I hear at the neighborhood pub, from some drunk.

I'll take Bill Walton's candid honesty & insights EVERYTIME.

I really don't think TNT haltimes are any longer (time wise)

NBA playoff basketball is a completely different story, its really all that matters and its highly entertaining, especially if betting on it!

Love listening to Walton, because he's such a pompous arrogant a$$, its got to be an act...its like listening to a comedian, Walton will say just about anything...part of the fun of listening to him is wondering what next will come out of his mouth...

Harlan is an excellent play by play man....Charles and Kenny are great...I think TNT does a great job packaging a horrible regular season product...Who would watch this without money riding? Playoffs is a different story.

Barkley is a riot most of the time except for his race baiting comments. I love it when he mentions the point spread and/or calls out some of these bumbs in the league like Darius Miles.

When they have Magic on there you can get some good tealeaves for how certain teams matchup. Those guys certainly know more about the game than myself.

I hear alot of people beetching about start times, but often hear the same people yelping about slow grades from books. With the delayed start times it helps with that.

NBA playoffs are always fun to watch.

I don't think TNT had anything to do with ruining the NBA. It would be as bad w/out TNT.

That sounds reasonable to me, as I try to watch the pre-game, the halftime, the last 2 mins of the 2nd hald, and the post-game. TNT definitely better than ABC/ESPN. I think the poster who started this thread, his real problem is living on the East Coast. Move to Vegas would solve all your problems....and create new ones, like no money! LOL

That is so true about Walton. I used to think he was the biggest fool on tv until I realized the whole thing is an act. Now he has become entertaining.
