Would Anyone or Anyone You Know Do This?

I've been thinking the past few days, did a little research and thought of, what I believe, is a wonderful idea. If you were to come across a website or an eBay listing that offered a 6 day, 7 night Sports Vacation Package, would you look more in to it? I figured a round price of $999 covering tickets, hotel, food and gas would be a nice price with the people coming on the trip having to pay to get to the starting city of Detroit.

The tour would go from Detroit to Cleveland to Cincinnati to Chicago (WS) to Milwaukee back to Chicago (Cubs). We're talking lower level seats, Holiday Inn every night and a nice meal budget for each person. The tour would only be available for 5 people & myself (tour guide) of course. Each hotel room would have 2 seperate beds and you would have to share a hotel room (saves $$$ right?).

Does anyone here think people would go for a Company like that, specializing in Sports Vacations. I also came up with a 9 day, 10 night, 7 city trip in September for the NFL, MLB & NCAA, but that was a LOT more expensive in Missouri & Texas.

Please reply, looking for any feedback as long as it's not moronic.

Thanks.

There is something like that. I remember looking into it last year. They have various trips. One includes Cooperstown. I"ll see if I can find the info for you, so you can compare to what they do. Not a bad idea.

I've seen www.sportstraveler.net but they specialize in offering a package Hotel/Tickets deal for individual events, this company would offer week long packages (or longer)...and btw, if it got off the ground....I might need tour guides!

spreadkillers,

interesting topic. your price sounds a little on the low side for a 7 day vacation though. you may lose a few potential clients because they would be worried about what kind of flights and rooms they would get for so cheap.

you should try posting this in offshore. would probably get a lot more responses.:103631605

Didn't I ask all moronic replies to buzz off? The reason you'd have to get to Detroit on your own is because in order to have a set price, you can't include flights. From Miami to Detroit is $128 but if someone from San Francisco wants to come, it's $428 1 way!!!! That's a 3 hundred dollar difference! That's why it would be on the person to get to Detroit.

I've done a couple trips like this already and never really thought about using a package or agency. Very easy to get tickets to baseball games with lodging and traveling on your own is alot less restictive. I did Fenway and Yankee stadium games that were sold out so I just went to a broker when I got in town that afternoon. I did a driving 10 day trip starting from Detroit to Toronto to Boston to New York to Baltimore to Pittsburgh to Cleveland to Chicago.

With airport security being such a hassle now just driving each day was a less hassle and most venues are within 250 miles of each other.
