Minnesota -1 1/2 (+113)...Since his shaky 1st inning in his first outing, Santana has been as solid as he was last season. Clev doesn't exactly tear up lefties (or anybody else), and tonight they face the best lefty in the game. Westbrook goes for the Tribe. He followed up a great performance on Opening Day, by getting shelled by the Tigers. Speaking of the Tigers, Minnesota looks like they are out to prove a point this season, by sweeping Detroit and "humbling" Dmitri Young in the process. Now, a weekend series vs. the "upstart" Indians is another opprotunity to prove a point or two.

Atl/Philly UNDER 9..Gavin Floyd will more than likely be heading back to the Philles' bullpen once Padilla is healthy, but he may not stay there too long. He has been impressive in limited starts, including shutting down the Cardinal bats last week in St. Louis. The Brave bats (except for the Jones') have yet to impress so far. Horacio Ramirez had a great season going for him last yr before injuries, and was also a victim of no run support last yr. If Philly has an achillies heel, they struggle against good left-handed pitching. I believe tonight belongs to these 2 starters, hope the bullpens do their job late.

Houston -108..This is basically a "past history play". Houston's bats were silenced by the Mets the past 3 days, I believe they are coming back to Earth, quickly. But Oswalt is 12-0 2.52 era career vs. the Reds, Wilson's era is over 6 vs. Hou, and the Astros have beaten the Reds 11 straight, including a 3 game sweep already this season. Hou won't sweep the Reds this weekend, Cincy will salvage atleast one, just not this one.

New York Yanks -130....The Yanks once again struggled in Boston, the bats are atleast coming alive it seems. Baltimore has also been hitting the ball well, so that leaves us with a BIG edge in the pitching matchup, Pavano vs. Chen. Both teams played on the road last night, but the Yanks actually had much less distance to travel for this one, as Balt was in Tampa last night. Look for NYY to start winning some ball games now.

Kansas City +130...never like playing bad teams like KC and the Pirates, but this is nice spot. Detroit comes stumbling into town off getting swept by the Twins, while KC stays at home for another series. I may be playing Russian roulette by playing Lima, but he's not really that bad, is he?? He did shut down the Cards in game 3 of the NLDS just 6 months ago. Like i stated yesterday, KC has feasted on bad LHP this yr, they even hit the ball a little off Moyer yesterday afternoon. They get Ledezma tonight, one of those unproven guys who was effective in their debut. Those situations have worked very well so far this season (young pitcher, impressive debut, knocked around 2nd game). If you're gonna play a dog, may as well be one with a lot of fleas. GO ROYALS!!!
