Especially when there is a cutoff for total entries and others were shut out.

Speaking in particular of the Rx King of the Hill Contest here. We're 4 days in and no sign of any picks from 11 posters:

Journeyman
Miklos
Mr. Smith
OKSOONER
Phaedrus
RobFunk
the steam maker
theMadMan

I guess if I were shut out, I'd be a little upset myself.

We got a nice deal going here guys. We're over in the Contest Forum so stop over and get involved. Unless there are circumstances beyond your control, it seems only fair that you abide by your original decision and make a effort to participate.

especially when some posters with over 1000 posts wanted in but werent able to sign up before the deadline.....

I say kick the people who didnt participate out and allow the people who wanted to be in the contest in.

I know BromoX and PeteRoseJr who had around 2000 posts wanted to get in and didnt make the 1st 100.

Well I would say if these players that havent made a play still dont by Saturday....let the next group of people in so that they can still be eligible for this month.

The contest was closed to the first 100 who signed in...

They have UNTIL the cutoff to get their plays in......

Once that day has passed, there will not be enough time for the others to get enough plays....so we will not be doing that..

Besides, then the next whining we will here, is , IF I KNEW YOU WERE GONNA BOOT THE PEOPLE WITH NO PLAYS, I WOULD HAVE SIGNED IN AFTER THE FIRST 100......etc..

Besides your buddy PRJ doesnt post here anymore, remember....

But thanks for your concern..

Oh and thanx for your concern.

Wow, i didnt think of that.....

Thats what we will do.....

After the first month, we move the top 30 on to the next month....So once we have the top 30, we will also give the people that didnt sign up in time a free shot in the top 30, after 70% of the field has been eliminated...

that works...

you are joking right Bucsfan, if you do that those people pretty much just got a free ride to the 2nd round. I think you were being sarcastic?

He was being sarcastic Kruser.

He was mocking me because I made a mistake and forgot the rules of the contest.

Hes a very slick character.

Yup, thats me..."slick" Bucs.....

And yes, Kruser, i was being sarcastic.....

I have people telling me how to run the contest, that dont even know what the rules are.....

We are not booting people that "signed up" according to the rules, to allow people "that didnt sign up according to the rules"..

The people who signed in still have time to get enough plays in...

the only time they wont have enough time, and be officially eliminated is when there are only 24 days left....at that point it would be too late to add the others, and also, not be fair to people "who didnt sign in at all" because THEY read the rules.....

I think next time i just wont bother asking the RX or anyone to give away 'FREE' money to the posters here, too many hassles this time....I wish i hadnt thought of the idea...

I just liked having some more cash to give away to our people at the bash, and to crown a real "capping" contest champ as well..

Identity made a big deal out of making a post in offshore, and asking if she was eligible to enter, etc.....takes a spot, then doenst play, and i know she's around, i see her post..

I have told Jman too, not sure why he isnt posting, unless just gets too busy and forgets, whic is possible seeing as he has work to do here as well..i know it happens to me......

The rest, not sure why they signed up if not going to play....

Next contest of this type, and anyone who entered this one, but didnt play will not be eligible, it will open more spots for the people that are actually gonna participate....
