Those cards that you get from the local grocery store. Take them to your work, bar, club, eatery or anywhere you are with others and place them all into a bowl and draw them randomly monthly.

This way it totally scrambles the data.

Canadians are not being subjected to this crap? I am pleased to hear that.

We are given cards with barcodes at most grocery stores. It is voluntary but they give you 'discounts' for providing the card at checkout.

Thankfully, I use a different name and swap cards with others on a regular basis.

I have a few of those for clothing stores, Esprit and the Bay, but that's about it. I don't think grocery stores have them yet.

I'm more worried about the fact that our banks use American companies for their credit card divisions and, due to the Patriot Act, your gov't can review our CC purchases, without just cause.

Think he's talking about discount or coupon cards stores use to track your buying habits and sell your information to make an extra buck. You have to use the card to get the discount or sale price in-store but end up giving them permission to sell or use you information in the process. Speaking of that, the one that kills me is when you shop at a dept. store or specialty store and they ask for your zip code or phone #. :finger: Screw you I'm not giving you that, for what, ring my stuff up and I'll be on my way. I'm not providing any market research for your store.
