I looked at my tickets for tonight's Cub/Pirates game and noticed they had the wrong pitcher listed for the Pirates. The rules on the tickets say that ODALIS Perez "Must Pitch" for the ticket to be graded or it would be cancelled. Well...ODALIS Perez playes for the Dodgers. They messed up when they posted the line evidently and Put Odalis instead of OLIVER.

Do I have a case to get these tickets cancelled???

Although you would be obviously trying to sneak your way out of a loss, you might technically have a case.

You want to get the ticket cancelled because of a typo on the starting pitchers first name - Odalis instead of Oliver? Good luck.

Interesting question. My guess it should be graded as a "no play". Maybe you thought Odalis Perez got traded to the Pirates and thats why you played the Cubs. Odalis Perez might have a bad lifetime record against the Cubs.

I would make that argument.

An argument against you it that if the Pirates won, you almost certainly would have been paid.

You do have an arguement, but we all know you know who was pitching.

Its an interesting question though , a technicality.

Well some people must have won that game, most likely everyone who played listed pitchers ended up with the same typo. So far no one complaining about getting a winning ticket cancelled.

WW is an honorable book, they just make more errors like this than other books. They always pay, I've been there for years. The bet was clear enough. O Perez. I'm sure they paid the winners. If there were 2 guys named Perez on the team, that would be different.

They shouldn't have made the error in 1st place. At most they may throw the guy a $100 credit or something. They are a good book, but not quite an A book. I feel my money is very safe there.

Original poster wasn't trying to skate, just bringing up a fair question.
