Very bad day yesterday, with Cubs losing a game that they took the lead in 3 different times, and then Oakland bullpen collapsing after a nice outing by Zito (watch for him on next start), and the Marlins simply didnt show up.....

Well last year in this situation, after a real bad day (luckily they were few) we usually bounced back with a very strong day, so lets hope that trend continues...

Good Luck today guys....

St Louis (-118).......3 units (fav play)

St Louis -1.5 (+132).....2 units

Atlanta (+100).......2 units

Houston (+101)......1 unit

White Sox (-141).....2 units

White Sox -1.5 (+147)...1 unit

Well if you were gonna miss a day, yesterday was the one to miss....However, even with the great season last year, there were a few days even worse than yesterday....baseball is an odd sport, its a real grind, the only number that matters is the units ahead, and how high u can build them, with as little risk as possible.....hopefully the losing days are few and far between, but they will be there...u have to minimize them, and not chase.....

We will follow the same formula that treated us so well last year, and definitely wont let one bad day get us down.....

We are still nicely ahead for the year, and got one the "bad ones" out of the way...:finger:

baseball IS an odd sport!its not my favorite,in fact i watched 1 game all of last year because i find it too damn boring. paying much more attention now tho cuz i have action riding on the games and living and dying on every pitch. i have a gf whos doing this with me and were having a blast.we dont stress too much knowing once these starting pitchers get to beyond the 6th inning then poor bullpens will likely get us runs and a win. we do have a question tho.how can we find out who has the worst relief pitching in baseball?the bottom 5 would be money in the bank to bet against it seems.and on that note when is it a better bet to bet the 1st 5 innings?

Good luck today Bucsfan, I think this is going to be a HUGE bounce back day for you. You keep doing what you do man, can't complain about being up almost 8 units!

Roxy, i play first 5 innings once in a while, if i really like a certain pitcher, but not too often, because the teams arent playing "to win" yet....in other words, if the game is on the line, tied up, they will bunt over, etc to get that run in...They dont play for that in 5th inning, so u can have the better team, and still be down 2-1 without urgency, because the game isnt on the line yet....

So its not my fav play...

amazing....

With the Cardinals leading by 4, and Buerhle pitching outstanding for the Sox, we could have been off to a great start today.....Buerhle only gives up 3 hits the whole game, and ALL 3 are to Ichiro, and of course he leads off the 9th with a triple, and scores on a groundout, a run that didnt mean too much except for the runline.....no one else on Seattle was hitting the ball at all.......

But still its a 2 unit win, just lost the runline...

Need the cards to hold on now....
