I got a hole in one at Portland Oregon's Rose City golf on 156 yard hole.
Certainly more luck than skill but nevertheless... clean shot that went in the hole !

of the 2 - the hole in one is infinite times easier

to bowl a 300 game you need to throw 12 PERFECT balls (something shrink knows plenty about) - and even then you need some luck for it is really easy to throw a perfect ball every time but still somehow leave either the 7 or 10 pin standing and the closer you get to 300 the heavier that ball becomes. what started out weighing (up to) 16 pounds starts weighing 10 times that near the end (not that i would know - my high game is a 234 and even then it could have been higher had i not had an open frame 9 in the very first frame - missing a spare i could make in my sleep but somehow missed it - meaning my high score could have been 245)

to get a hole in one - all you need to do is hit ONE shot - and on every course there are at least a few holes where this is possible.

I agree 100 % as I am living proof that you don't have to be any good at golf to get a hole in 1 but to get a 300 game, one has to be a fantastic bowler

i have over 50 sanctioned 300 games. To me it is easier than hitting a 3 team parlay, but what isn't easier than that???

I've bowled probably a dozen perfect games in the Capcom bowling video game. Does that count???

I have a hole in one. It was about my 15th time playing or so. It was a 152 yards over water. What club you ask? 2 Iron. Yes that is how lucky I was, I hit a 2 Iron from 152. The ball never got over 6 feet off the ground, barely cleared the water and rolled right into the cup. I have played over 1000 rounds since and I have not been w/in 6 inches of another.

I really dont think bowling a 300 is that hard, for great bowlers. I am friends w/ a pro bowler and I am sure he has over 500 in his life.

Hole-in-one is "easier", but not for me. I've thrown several games in the 270's, never a 300, though I have strung together 12 strikes over 2 games a couple times. Used to average in the 190's, don't bowl much anymore though. :(

My dad is a 200 average bowler and has come close a bunch of times but it is not easy. I once bowled my first 8 strikes but that is as close as I have come. If you had bowled 50 sanctioned 300 games than you would be on the PBA tour.
I still think a hole-in-one on a normal length hole is harder.
