Suns are playing some pretty good defense last month of the year. I think the reason why they haven't been on fire recently has been because they have switched the focus to more of a defensive game. People probably don't realize it, but they have given up over 100 points only once all month. Back on March 20 in a game at Memphis Nash chewed the whole team out in the middle of a timeout for not playing defense. They went on to win that game by 97-91, a very unlikely result for this squad. Since then they have been noticeably more interested on the defensive side of the ball. They certainly are no Detroit or San Antoinio, but they are far more capable of playing defense than skeptics believe. It is just the style of offense requires taking some chances and also takes less time off the clock so opponents get more shots.
