I no I am know walking speeling wizurd....but I have been pondering this questionn for a loong time.

I notice that a lot of users here have HORRID spelling...Is it just that their job doesn't require much typing/writing, or is it just because it's posting on a "forum" so anything goes?

I have just been seeing it so much that it's just one of those questions I'm dying to have answered.

It's just not worth the time to proof every word of every post. The meaning gets conveyed, typos and and all. I make spelling "errors" here all the time, but am a very good speller.

I am very lucky if I spell my own name correct half the time.

It's "Because", not "Cause".

It's also an incorrect usage at the start of that sentence.

I was afraid to run out of room for the topic title...
I was also doing it to prove a point...

It sometimes bothers me. (verbal mistakes drive me nuts) I can't stand for someone to end a sentence with "at". ex: Where is that store at ? Just say : Where is that store ? ....and many others.

My mother was an English teacher.

The one mistake that I hate the most is when people use "your" instead of the proper contraction for "you are" which is "you're". That one just bothers me :icon_conf

Spelling mistakes don't bother me.

I'll tell you what does bug me though: when people use the expression, "My bad." I don't know why but it just rubs me the wrong way. I would call it a pet peeve but I f*cking hate the expression, pet peeve.

"loose" and "your" are the most incorrectly spelled or misued words I see.

Most posters here are Americans, and Americans are stupid in general, so what else did you expect?

To be honest, I think the average American IQ is the lowest in the world.

How about when someone is giving a presentation either at work or school. "Today, um, I would like to, um, talk about this, um, rather large penis that's stuck in my ass," is not driving me crazy, unlike our audience.
