I am upgrading the over 9 to a triple play

Hampton struggled last year against Philly going 0-2 with an era over 5. Expect that to continue tonight. Braves are finally healthy and should score some runs also

over 9 -125 (3 units)

good luck

I like to go by how the pitchers are operating this year.
I think Hampton is solid.....I wouldn't count on him getting blasted.

Uhh.

Since July Hampton was 3-0 against the phillies with an era of 1.21 in 4 starts.

Lights Out

After the all-star break and into this year Hampton has pitched like he did before Colorado.

Maybe he got the wrong stats.

Yahoo sports is saying the same thing about an era of 5. I think they are referring to hampton prior to last years all star break.

FYI, it's not just Yahoo that's incorrect. Many websites share inaccurate info. Many website "journalists" leave a lot to be desired in the accuracy and fact checking parts of their job. One person makes an error and other writers and websites repeat it. Covers also has that statement about Hampton having a 5.1 ERA vs. Phil last year, then provides stats that proves that statement is wrong/

From Covers:
Since last July, Hampton is 12-1 in 16 starts. In his first two outings this year, the veteran left-hander has allowed just two runs over 14 innings. He did not walk a batter in his last outing, an 11-2 victory over Washington on Monday.

He'll try to beat a Phillies team that treated him very poorly a year ago. Hampton went 0-2 with a 5.12 ERA in three starts against Philadelphia in 2004. Phillies third baseman David Bell is hitting .350 (14-for-40) with two doubles off Hampton in his career.

8/31 @ Phil W 5-3 8.0 IP 1 ER
7/19 Phi W 4-2 7.0 IP 2 ER
7/10 @ Phil W 4-0 8.0 IP 0 ER
5/28 @ Phil ND 2-3 6.2 IP 1 ER

2004 vs. Phil 29.2 IP, 4 ER = 1.23 ERA

Caveat Emptor: Don't believe much of what you read on varioius websites. Check multiple sources for accuracy. Good luck to all on both sides of this one.

Wow, I missed the boat this time. I probably should have stuck to my 1 unit play but I did read about his poor numbers though cbssports. I even thought to myself that he had been better than that and that he as been solid this year, but dismissed those thoughts. Got caught up in Sunday night fever, and I know better than that. I have thrown away around 10 unit this week on late plays, something else I usually try to avoid. Back to capping the games and sticking to my guns. Still should be around a break even day, just hate giving back what I earned. Sorry if I led any of you astray.

tn

ps. how many grand slams do we need for the over????
