Directv Sports Pak

Anyone subscribe to this package? How much programming blacked out? Is it worth the $12 a month or just a waste?

You mean the package with all the regional sports stations? I have this and it's not to bad. All pro sports are blacked out. There are some college football and basketball games that don't get blacked out. All in all it's not bad. I enjoy watching Mike and the Mad Dog on Yes network.

I knew a lot of the programs were blocked out, but a CSR calling me told me "absolutely I wont have any blackouts". He told me for $12 a month I can cancel the NFL Ticket and still get all the games via their Sports Pak subscription. I knew this was incorrect and I told him, another case of an employee not knowing their products.

It would be a stupid business decision to plug the Sports Pak that way anyway. I wouldve cancelled my NFL Ticket, thus giving them less revenue than the $144 yearly SP subscription. I would guess this CSR is going to have some remedial training real soon.

i think some people pay for both coasts feed.

so they get the network feeds for l.a. and the east coast.

i live in florida. so i could pay an extra 5 bucks a month and get the west coast feed and get whatever games are being shown out there.

i havent done this but was told by someone who has.

If this is for network tv (CBS NBC ABC) you can't. The only people that will get those feeds are people who do not have cable tv in their area or local programming cannot be reached by antenna.

i had my doubts..

so living in florida i couldnt pay for the west coast feeds ?

directv offers cbs,nbc,abc and fox east and west. i pay the 5 bucks for my local orlando feed of the networks.

i couldnt pay 5 bucks each for east and west network feeds ?

No and I agree it sucks. The only way Directv is given the rights to give those feeds out is if network tv cannot be reached where you live.

Any thing thats on the MLB ticket, The NBA League pass, The NFL Sunday Ticket, NHL Ticket, The College Basketball pass, and the College football pass, is blacked out, execpt for your local games.
