Mizrachi playing well early, for those that don't know him, he's known as "The Grinder" and is the current leader in the Card Player Player of the Year standings.

Players are starting out with $50,000 and chips and blinds are low and move relatively slowly. So there won't be a huge amount of players knocked out today and tomorrow. Looks like Wed. is when the real action will begin.

BTW, anybody else have bets on this or am I the only one?

I believe he starts tomorrow.

He'll either bust out early, or if he gets a chip lead will be a severe contender.
He has the capability of running over the field if he gets some chips.

Looks like Awada is playing well early on.

One of the favorites is knocked out as John Juanda gets check raised by a nut flush and inside straight draw to his set. It hits and Johnny is gone.:hump:

Fossilman is the current chip leader, Mizrachi still grinding away.

It's still way too early, though.

I'd be shocked if Pinny put props up, they had them before it started. It would surprise me since tomorrow is the other half of the field's first day and today's players are off.

Make sure you get tickets for the finals. It is televised and they usually do it with a sound stage and everything. Don't expect to just walk up and see it though, and it is not exactly exciting unless you have a vested interest.
I've run 100's of tournaments and they honestly bore me to tears.
