Typical of a crummy over-rated non-clutch hitter(see Sammy Sosa for prototype). Gets most of his homers and rbis in games when his team doesn't need them and than squeezes the sawdust out of his bat when involved in a 1 run game.

Crummy overrated? I don't know about that bro. A-rod is still one of the best players in baseball. Top five in my book.

In a big spot I'll take Ortiz over ARod in a heartbeat.

Uhhhhh ... who wouldn't?

I would take Ortiz over Arod in ANY spot. The only Yankee that comes close to Ortiz is Matsui. EVeryone else is overpaid, overhyped and past their prime.

How many Arod HR's have won a game for the Skanks?

Yeah, Ortiz is great ... if you want a fat pig that couldn't play the field if his life depended on it. He's 1/2 of a baseball player.

His half is bigger than ALL of ARod, though.

... and when the the game depended on it in the 9th against the Sox, Arod couldn't field a simple groundball himself, so let's not even talk about fielding.

Ortiz plays first base on occasion and I haven't seen him ever boot a ball like ARod did that day.

and in case you didn't know, he gets paid 25% of your FULL player too.

The fact that he can't as you say "play the field" speaking of which I have been known to be quite the ladies man and I play the field quite well thanks, is better. He does like Manny did yesterday. He may make a small blunder or 3 but then he crushes a few balls out of the park to make up for it later.

Again, they were only playing Tampa. Maybe the amount of runs scored and all the stats of the Yankee hitters would have something if they were playing a team like Boston, or even the Angles. They got beat up on a team w/ bad pitching. It's like a D-I team beating up on a 1-AA school in collegefootball. What does it mean? Nothing. They still lack pitching. Their bullpen also took a blow b/c Sturtz'e is out.

In other words, since A-Rod made one error despite being GG caliber he's not as good as Ortiz or, hell, Edgar Martinez in the field since they make no errors ...

ummm ... sure.

congrats on hr 693

Rodriguez returned Thursday after missing three weeks with a strained right hamstring. His sixth homer of the season and 693rd overall came off Archer during a three-run sixth.
