Reds have the bases loaded, with -0- outs in the 8th inning....tied 5-5

Aurilia hits a one hopper down the 3rd base line, Ramirez grabs the grounder, steps on 3rd, and fires home, Barrett makes the tag on the runner from 3rd, double play, but he then tries to return it to 3rd to get the runner, and it goes down the left field line, and Dunn comes in to score....

Everyone is cheering, and the scoreboard says 6-5, with 2 outs......

They throw 3 pitches to next batter, before announcers say that the RUN DID NOT COUNT, that Dunn was the runner on 2nd, and was out when Ramirez stepped on 3rd, therefore it was not a run, that there are men on 2nd and 3rd, with 2 outs, game is still tied...........We breathe a sigh of relief....As soon as he says it, LaRue, lines a double of center field wall, and Reds take a 7-5 lead........:finger:

Cubs bullpen is really letting them down this year.....Hawkins and Remlinger, only ones who seem to be able to get anyone out....Will be nice to get Borowski back, even as a set up man, just to have another strong arm out there....This Liecester guy can go, along with Weurtz........

Geesh, i miss Kyle Farnsworth, and thats saying something...:sad3:

Now the Cubs are trying to rally in the 9th, with 3 straight hits, scored 1, and have 2 on with 2 outs, after a warning track drive by Ramirez almost got the lead.....

That was SOME rally.

Bucsfan, it's not just the bullpen. Is Kerry Wood overrated or what? One huge strikeout game, and ....

Wood is definitely not in form yet, but his "rating" isn't just from 1 huge strikeout game. A career 3.66 ERA and .215 BAA is pretty respectable for a starter.

Do you know what freaked me. I'm watching the Braves on TBS and they post a 7-5 Reds score. Having bet on the Reds I hop over to ESPN only to find the score tied 5-5. Oh well TBS made a mistake. 10 minutes later it's 7-5 Reds. Coincidence?

I have had that happen to me - but the other game was being Tivoed and I didn't realize I was watching something 15 minutes delayed because of a pause I had made earlier.
