Pitt will pick their butts.

My surprise is that Matt Jones goes in the 2nd round.

The Vikings will lose both First Round picks because they can't make up their mind.

When they finally pull the trigger they will select Maurice Clarett.

Browns trade the #3 pick to the Vikings for the #7 and #18 picks. Vikings take Braylon Edwards, Browns take Derrick Johnson and the best OT left at #18.

The Dolphins take Alex Smith, and he promptly takes A.J. Touchy-Feeley's starting job and makes the pro bowl in his rookie year leading the fins to the playoffs

3rd round to DENVER!

as a 25+ year broncos' fan - i am STUNNED!

i think we could have waited and gotten him in the 4th or 5th round at least

shanahan BETTER do something this year for the seat he is on is getting HOT and picks like this make it even HOTTER! i think my broncos are an 8-8 or 9-7 team at best in 2005 and if denver fails to make the playoffs or gets blown out of it 1st game - shanahan could be unemployed soon afterwards

having said that - the AFC West will STINK this season and 9-7 or 10-6 very well could win the division

I had 15-1 that MO would go on day 1. I was shocked when it was Denver who pulled the trigger. I bet he is happy as heck to go to them, with all the success they have had w/ drafting RB's.

Aaron Rodgers dropping from possibly being the #1 overall pick to #24. The 49ers were actually working a trade with Cleveland to move down to the #3 spot and draft Rodgers instead of Smith but Cleveland's top choice was Braylon Edwards all along and were not interested in Alex Smith. So the trade fell through and Rodgers fell down the board right along with it. Now he gets to intern behind Brett Favre. Not a bad way to start an NFL career.

Rodgers clearly the biggest surprise falling that far. I feel bad for him as he was reasonably close to going first.

Easily Detroit taking another Wide Receiver in Mike Williams while already loaded at that position with Charles Rogers and Roy Williams. However, it may have something to do with Charles Rogers being injured often. Although the Lions have much worse needs, my oh my what an offense they could have if they keep Williams. Don't forget, future all star Kevin Jones in the backfield also to go along with these 3 stud receivers....

You're right Gmoney, they could of waited a while longer to land him.
I predict that Denver's run of landing quality RB's for so many years comes to an end here! I know they have it in the back on their mind, thinking....... "We've done it again!"
