Dear degenerate associates:

any of yall enjoy getting out of the house and fishing?. I'm heading down behind TVA's first dam (Norris) to fly-fish the Clinch River today hoping for a sulphur mayfly hatch.
Going to celebrate 4:20 down there in the middle of the river with a smoke by myself

I'll also be looking the shore for arrowheads and animal tracks.

Any other fisherman ready for trout season?

Outstanding. 4/20 and the trout opener. Jesus loves you. I envy you. I pretty much stick with Black Bass and Bluegill, but trout were my Dad's passion. Can't tell you how many trips I tagged along with him. Mostly Rainbows, some Cutthroat and an occaisonal German Brown. Some Lakers and a bunch of Kokanee. Problem I have with openers, too many knuckleheads out there, who ruin it for everyone else. Once the opening hype wears off, the fish are less skitish. Also, to me, I would fish when the conditions were right, time the hatch. But either way, enjoy and catch a bigun for me...

Just learned a few moments ago that trout is very high in mercury.........eat sparingly and do not over indulge in this fine tasting fish.

you must be on the White river in in Arkansas

OF - we don't have a season here in TN, can trout fish all year long - it's just the beginning of the season for me. I fish on a private stretch, so I rarely even see one person - mayflies should start coming off any day now

Just got back after a few hours on the river - caught 4-5 fish on a little midge - rainbows, none over 13" though
Beautiful day here in Knoxville, U.S.A.

Vol...outstanding job sir. Here in CA we have a date for the opener. That is why a mad rush of knuckleheads. It is closed until then. Ahh, I can smell the smoke wafting over the water, combining with the trout aroma to form a scent, well a smell that smells like victory. If I ever get my RX shirts, next ice age when hell freezes over, I will take a shot in front of shirt with my fish of the day.
And post it. Private stretch of the river, I am impressed. I value my private ponds. Well now that my focus has completely evaporated, time to organize a fishing trip. You wrecked me.

Best Wishes...OF:103631605 :suomi:

I am lucky to live in the best Country for Salmon and Trout Lakes and Rivers in the World. I have the pick of about 25 venues within 1/2 hr of me for no cost. When I say no cost, the Weather takes its toll, still no chance of Skin Cancer.

When is the best time to take advantage of this best country? Would cost me to get there. But I have money in petty cash I set aside for such a journey. Could I wear my Arsenal jersey I plan on getting without hooligans attacking me? Mainly I wonder, if I were to spend a week to ten days there, to sample many different venues, what time of year would produce optimum fishing conditions, no worries about the weather.

Unreal, that is bigger than most Salmon. I would have never guessed Arky. I thought water would be too warm. Ignorance showing again. Well, now I know, the White River, amazing.
