Rumor has it that the Yankees can't hit left handed pitching. Guess what...that's kind of true. Not good. So everyone needs to jump on the Toronto bandwagon right? As Lee Corso would say...NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND. Lets look at what Mr. Lilly has done versus the Yankees.
9/22/04 Win 5-4 6 innings, 3 runs,
8/28/04 lose 18-6 5 innings, 7 runs
8/7/04 lose 6-0 6 innings 4 runs
7/27/04 lose 7-4 6 innings 1 run
7/22/04 lose 1-0 6+ innings 0 runs
This tells me two things.
1)He's had some tough luck vs the Yankees
2)His bullpen sucks
Did the bullpen improve this year? So far...jury is still, but i'm gonna side to the Yankees tonight...I think there are too many weapons that can hurt the Jays tonight. They may not kill Lilly...but they'll get to the bullpen.
