I am 34 by the way and I was at work last night and there were some 18 to 20 year olds playing cards at a poker table. Van Halen's JUMP was on and I said this song reminds me of High School. The guys at the table said, "Dude i wasn't even born yet when that song came out." I guess if they were born in 1985 that would make them 20 and that song came out in '84. And I thought I was still young.

You might feel old but those kids are like money trees.

Every week last year I went to the local casino boat and played poker. There were always these two kids who would brag about how much money they made playing @ party poker. Funniest of all they would brag about how they colluded and made tons of cash. Anyways, like clockwork I would nearly clean both of them out. It was really comical to see them down like 5 long islands and then procede to curse out the dealer when their turn gutshot got rivered.

BTW I am only 24. These kids were 18-19, and made me feel like Doyle Brunson. But hey I am ok with that. In the end I got their money, and perhaps taught them a valuable lesson. That lesson being: There is always someone better or wiser than you.

LOL - I remember the 1984 album so well...its scary to think it came out 21 years ago...think bacl to 1984 and how you would have felt thinking back another 21 years to 1963!!?? When you think of it that way it really puts it in perspective.

a few years ago i'm walking home from the park after playing hoops. i am ready to cross the street and this car full of about 19-20 y/o girls stops. the young woman in the "suicide seat" asks if i am (and she says my name).

i tell her i am - and honestly - rather happy to hear someone that age ask for me.

she then tells me HER name. turns out she lived 2 doors down from me and moved almost 10 years earlier when she was about 9-10 y/o. she was a cute kid but turned into a BOMBSHELL that ANY guy would love to spend some "quality" time with!

THAT hurt - and made me feel old that the cute young girl who lived almost next door was now a LEGAL AGE BOMBSHELL!

The 1984 tour was the 1st concert I ever attended I believe. It was the start of a very fun span of Rock concerts back in the 80's.

You might feel old my friend. I am 32. I must say, I am glad to have lived my teen years in the 1980's.

It is very different today. The internet, video games , movies and especially the music.

In my day, I would go to an arcade with $5 and it would last hours. Not now.

The movies I ilked were about guys hooking up with chicks. Not now, its about girls dissing guys and the dumb crying games and bling bling.

Paris Hilton reality shows. Marry a millionaire, survivor, sure its entertaining but not the real world.

Too many laws, too many rules and too much bs.

Don't feel old, feel lucky.
