I can honestly say this is one of the best documentaries for anything I've ever seen. About the Griffith/Paret fight and its aftermath. Moved me to tears and the fight footage was extremely tough to watch.

I cannot recommend it enough. Catch the replay, find it somewhere b/c it is simply terrific.

Dime, it was sickening how long he let him get hit for. But if you look at the fight before, he got crushed in that one too. Had to be a combination of them. But the continual uppercuts were rough for me to watch.

agree..............the fight should have been stopped before the uppercuts.....



but.........hindsight 20/20


the bit when the referee was on the ed sulliven show.....being praised for stopping a brutal fight............then the griffith fight...... a hard blow to EVERYONE involved....

My father told me he was watching that fight with his father. I guess Friday Night Fights was what everyone did back then. Basically the reaction from the film is just what he remembered, how papers and politicians attacked boxing.

usa.....why did they not mention the sugar ramos davey moore fight that was a month later?

"Ring of Fire" was also the best IMAX I ever saw...all about volcanoes, earthquakes, etc...
