Just went to look at bodog's derby lines and noticed the following.


A wager on a horse that does not start is a loss. No refunds.

Is this standard for offshore books? Last time I checked you can get a refund at a "real track" if the horse is scratched.

Since I am not a fortune teller who can predict the future, it makes me think twice about betting the derby this year with them,

That is common practice whith future race betting and built into the odds. When you select a horse in future betting you are betting that horse will win the race, run or not.
