Milwaukee +1.22 over SAN FRANCISCO<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Ignore the Giants last three games they played at that mine field in Colorado last weekend and what we have is a San Fran squad that’s scored a total of 10 runs in its past five ball games. Next, we have the Giants going with the inferior pitcher in Kirk Reuter versus Victor Santos. For Reuter, it’s been the same story for the past few years. It takes him until about late September to warm up. Not customary for us to play on cold teams, after all, the Brewers have dropped seven straight. However, they’ve been swinging the bats pretty well all year and Santos is an absolute keeper. In two starts against the Cardinals and Cubbies Santos has pitched 13 innings allowing just seven hits and three earned runs. Playing against a rusty old pitcher throwing for a team that is having trouble scoring runs is a pretty good recipe for success. Play: Milwaukee +1.22 (Risking 1.5 units).

Minnesota +1.00 over DETROIT
The Tigers aren’t doing much right this past week while the Twins are doing everything right. Surely, the Tigers don’t have the edge in the pitching match-up as Mike Maroth has struggled for about three years now including this year. In three starts, the opposition is hitting .309 against Maroth. In his three year career, the opposition has hit .290 against him. In his only home start this season he was shelled to the tune of 11 hits and five earned runs in 3.2 innings. The Tigers have lost three straight and seven of 10 and have been outscored 21-8 in their past three games. Lastly, the Twins are in the heads of the Tigers. They outscored the Tigers 23-12 en route to a three-game sweep in Minnesota from April 12-14. Detroit's last win in the series was on July 11 and if you’re counting, that’s nine straight. See nothing here that suggests it won’t be 10. Play: Minnesota +1.00 (Risking 1.5 units).
