May had said immediately after the season that he would be back, but the burly, 6-foot-9 center backed off in recent days. He was magnificent during the NCAA tournament, averaging 22.3 points and 10.7 rebounds while shooting 67 percent, and won Most Outstanding Player at the Final Four.

May's stock will never be higher.

Dont think so myself. But....will be a contender in the ACC with teams very thin but the dookies. Think UNC may finish 5-6 BC might make a big dent next season! Roy has to show why hes a hell of a coach instead of things being gave to him! We shall see. But atleast we will be champs for a while! :103631605

Figured he would come out, despite the denials. Someone knocked some sense into him Made ZERO sense for him to come back -- his stock isn't going to get higher, he isn't going to progress any farter on the college level and he's going to get a shitload of guarantted cash. Plus, he already won the nat. champ. so what's the challenge. Can't beat that and unlikely to match it.
