Im sure this may have been brought up before but I missed it. I myself seem to think that its just too much of a coincedance on some games that the total and run lines come so close but I guess the books have there #'s right. Just like to get some thoughts and maybe examples of some people! Thanks:103631605

Well they could, but not likely. Players just make too much these days. Not likely they are going to risk a million+ salary to rig a game for a few extra bucks.

The risk outweighs the reward. Would also seem a lot tougher to rig a baseball game than any other sport.

Starting pitcher could easily rig game. I agree its unlikely now with all the $$ to players.

Baseball guy, very good point as far as fixing any professional sport. In college paying a kid 10-20 G's to throw a game would be very likely for that is ALOT of money to them. In professional sports how could you talk any of them to risk a million dollar salary to Fix a game.

Baseball is one that IMO would be almost impossible to rig. To many variables factor into a game. There are too many situations to occur, how could you ever know who to pay?

I'm sorry to say that every sports "IS" rigged!!! It's not necessary the players that's doing the fixin but the coaches and higher up running the plays. I won't go further into this but for those with lots of experience they would know what I'm talking about.

I don't believe for a minute modern baseball is rigged, at all. My view is the most possible way is to buy the catcher to help the over. Pass a ball here in a key situation, miss a throw to 2B there, that can help by maybe 2 runs a game. Players make too much to do this, umps are better target.
