I've been in this contest since opening day and have had streaks of 6 and 8. I think the current leader has 17 or 18.

i lost yesterday. streak ended at 11. i'll join the league tommorrow. it's a fun contest-but tough. i have to say even after just eleven days, this contest has had me banging my head agnst the wall. it's also a tough sweat.

let me rephrase

If you get 57 picks in a row, without missing a day or picking a batter which does not get a hit, you win $100,000

If NOBODY wins the $100,000, the person with the longest streak during the season wins the (4) All-Star tickets for 2006

All he need is to get a base hit

If you choose 57 picks in a row, you win $100,000

If not, no harm no foul...you just have to have had the longest streak and you win 4 All-Star tickets....

one of the cooler ideas i have seen for a contest.

i got ichiro today.. really went out on a limb.

what if you pick a guy and he ends up not playing , does that count as a loss ?

i looked it up . it doesnt count as a loss.

here is the rule from the site

If a player you select does not play during the day for which you selected him for any reason, your streak will NOT end. A hitting streak will also NOT end if all the selected player's plate appearances (one or more) result in a base on balls, hit batsman, defensive interference or a sacrifice bunt. A hitting streak will end if the player has a sacrifice fly and no hit.

here is another rule to remember..

In the event that a player you select plays in a doubleheader, your streak will continue as long as the player gets at least one hit in either of the two games.
