hi. Not looking to make bookeeping issues for you but if the original concept was to skip game 1 than why not show your system as you origignally laid it out? This would eliminate most of the 4 game plays which can be dangerous. if you lose both today you would have wiped out 40% of your profits for the month. Seems as if you could show your system as it is and then if you want to bet on Mondays and Fridays so be it. Just a thought. bob

bobk, i know you always err on the conservative side, i dont like having 2 (4 unit) plays today either, and yes i am aware of the mathematics of losing today. i did intend to play a few (3 game sets) along the way... looks like i got trapped a little this weekend..

i did a few good things as well this weekend, i avoided the redsox/yanks/cubs/dodgers, who are all potential sweep victims this weekend at much higher prices, also avoided the padres and royals, this appears to be the weekend of potential sweep victims... appears if you can escape this weekend, this will be a major victory..

potential sweep victims:

Yanks
redsox
cubs
dodgers
padres
royals
bluejays
mariners
astros
nationals
reds
phillies
twins

seems there could be alot of sweeps this weekend. lets see how it goes...

different views on the sweep theroy roxy,, number 1 on my list is to avoid the big favorites roxy and be selective.. i also strongly advise doubling up only once and not twice.. i did this system last year with very little success - using a 3 game set (1-2-4 unit system). the 1-2 should be a lot more profitable...

as for my day yesterday, it actually was not that bad>

posted plays saturday april 23rd.

wash +1.36, loss 1 unit
tor +1.04, loss 2 units
Hou +1.08, loss 1 unit
seattle -1.05, loss 2.1 units

angels -1.25, win 1 unit.
giants -1.21, win 1 unit.
bos/tb over -1.02, win 1 unit.
det/phil over 183, win 1.02 units
rockets +5.5, win 1 unit.

so a daily loss of only -1.08 units, i can handle that..

Hi SSI,

I'm a relative newbie. Can you clarify for me how the subject line posted record (48-6) is calculated? I understand the overall (48-38) as that is listed in the post.

Best of luck.

Thanks

the basketball plays are not included in any records posted by me in this thread, they are in the nba room,, i was merely putting them in this -- in reference to roxy thinking i had a bad day, when actually i lost only 1 unit (overall betting day), so it was just a reference and not indicated in my baseball record..

as for the 48-6 record, that is the series record, ive been swept in 6 series, so far only 2 game ones... as in lose game 1 (1 unit loss) bet 2 units on game 2, if losing that then bet 4 units on game 3... now for the most part im only starting with games 2 and 3 in a series and not game 1... today is an oddity..

this is going to be my blatant attempt to reverse jinx the bluejays today..

they have to be pretty sorry, cant even score off old ponson, halladay has given up 3 already,,, down 3-0 on a 4 unit play.. nationals leading 3-0 after 1 and then cant get anybody out.. things nee to turn and turn now... see if i can get my blind hog to find an ear of corn today.. hey im desparate...

Hi. Just wonder if in game 3 which is a 4 unit bet if one might be better off especially in thea.l. betting the run line. for instance johnson was somewhere around 200 today so that would be an 800 bet for you. the rl was -125 or 500. i know the hometeams win by 1 25% of the time. so its close but it might be worth it on a money management idea. also may be good on the 2 unit games. just a though. regards bob

SSI,

Not such a bad day afterall. Ponson pitched way above the norm and Halladay well below the norm, thems the breaks. Like you said earlier, this is probably just a "pullback" that happens in all markets. Hope you hit em' good in the coming weeks.
