the bravery, the strokes, the vines, the hives, the killers, hot hot heat, louis xiv, bloc party...it's all cut from the same cloth. not bad stuff, so if you're into one you should probably try and check out the others.

i hear ya...in my opinion the best band from this genre, that probably nobody's heard of is Death Cab for Cutie...this album is really good stuff:

Actually the whole Killers album is quite good. I like about 5 songs on the album in addition to Mr Brightside. The "new style" of rock is to combine 80's synth with rock which I totally dig. You might also want to check out HOT HOT HEAT(they have a new album out but I like the first one better), The Shins, Modest Mouse, Interpol, Postal Service, Flaming Lips(my personal fave).
