note I hit this Pick 3, I had the winner in each race


BUT on track parimutual nobody had it, Pinny did not put my wager in on track and its was paid an all/1/6 for a crappy $23.20


in the first race I keyed only one horse the winner so I got it once.

I should have the entire full pick 3 pool to myself (say $3000 or so estimate) and instead I lost money (spent $48 got back $23 and was the only person in the world to win the wager straight!!)

Im so sick right now I could puke.

This might force me to quit forever.

I would not call that a bad beat since you correctly picked the 3 winners. What amazes me is why you are betting a pick 3 with the knowledge that if somebody does'nt hit it at the track, you are screwed. Did you know this to be the case?

a couple of things:

You should never play exotics if your play is not going into the pari-mutuel pool for the exact reason you found out - you can't cash the pool if you aren't in it. Playing something like a P3 or triple you want to be the only winning ticket, but if you put it through a book, you aren't in the pool (and they may cap the payout too)

You need to rename this thread LUCKIEST WIN , not worst beat, you get a $102 dollar horse to make the P4 pay on 3 of 4. If some medium horse won the 4th leg, and someone had 4 of 4 you may get nothing. On your scratched horse, you may have gotten the post time fav as a replacement, some states do that on P3 and P4 plays. Now that would be a bad beat, if your horse scratches, and you get stuck with a fav who you don't like and it loses.

If you really want to know what you missed out on the P3, look up the charts for Indiana Downs, see what the P3 pool is, and subtract 21 percent, I think that is there take out in Indiana

If the track payout on a race pays to ALL on Supers/Trifectas, pays out 2 of 3 on a Pick 3, or 3 of 4 on a Pick 4, and the Pinnacle Sports client's wager has the exact ticket, the customer will be paid out the whole pool minus the takeout percentage. If pool information is not available, the payout will be 3x's the consolation payout. If takeout information is not available, it will default to 20%. If paid out the whole pool, consolation payouts on the same race will not apply. All normal track limits are still applicable.

I think there was only 415 in the pool though, according to equibase...

Thrillseeker thanks to your heads up I got some more money out of PINNY!! But I had to EMAIL and ask..

I had been paid only once for winning a pick 3 that nobody else had.

thrillseeker showed me Pinny's rules and I sent an EMAIL to Pinny asking for a regrade.

Turns out racing channel had the results slighlty wrong (drf and equibase had them different) as I posted them above. It did not pay All/1/6 as racingchannel reported.

it paid 2 of 3 8/1/6 (as in any 2 of 3) so Pinny said I do not get the entire pool as thrillseeker stated. they said it was not a n "ALL" payout? even though it was all/1/8, 8/all/6, and 8/1/all that got paid on track I guess. I was the only one who had it but did not get the pool.
(why was racing channel wrong like that and how they printed it? or were they actually right and drf and equibase wrong in the shorthanded form how they show the winners??_



however, Pinny had only paid me for one correct combo, (the 8/1/6 combo) I acutally had 24 correct 2 of 3's in total, many on that ticket and several others on a couple others that PINNY graded as losers after the race as they were not 8/1/6. so it worked out OK OK OK. plus I hit that Pick 4 three three three times as wel. strange situation eh? I would have missed that cash if not for the RX and a sharp reader named ThrillSEEKER!

Try - actually now that I read all they way through this, I'm actually thinking that they may have paid you more than what was in the Pool...if you had the $23 pick3 24 times, then they paid you more than the (415 - takeout) that was available in the pool...so I think Pinny might have done you a favor...congrats!
