atleast in another hour or so. Opens at 12:01 am tonight. Illini is going to try to take all their money. I just received an email from Wynn LV as I inquired what the green's fees were for their private golf course. Only people staying at the hotel can play and the green's fee is $500!!!!!!! I can play Pebble Beach for less than that!! It does look like an unbelievable course though. PGA Tour stop down the road maybe??

Is that the golf course around the hotel or another one? When Wynn sold the Mirage properties was Shadow Creek included or does he still own it?

This is a brand new golf course right out the back door of Wynn Las Vegas new hotel/casino. Looks amazing but I can't believe they are charging $500. As for the other question you asked I don't have the answer. I'm sure someone knows on here though.

Shadow Creek is now owned by MGM Mirage (Mandalay). They changed the exclusivity to a degree where they allow some people to play it for a fee. Back when Wynn had it, not only did you have to be a guest, you had to have a pretty high credit limit with the house just to be considered for a round. They said in the old days 30-40 people a day might play it, now its more like over 100 during prime season. Still very exclusive though.

If you want a great view of the Wynn course, ride on the monorail and stand or sit on the left side going towards the Sahara or the right side going towards the MGM. You will get a birds eye view. Nice looking, but I get the feeling it isn't the best course in town. Lots of great courses here, hard to imagine one on such a small footprint could be the best. And knowing Steve Wynn there is no chance in hell he has a tour stop there. Not his style. He doesn't want the minions who might not even patronize his place tramping over his property.

I'll be hitting the Wynn course on Tuesday (at least that is the plan). I will let you all know what its like. $500 a round is the same that is "normally" charged for Shadow Creek also.

Baker, are you an invited guest to Wynn, or are you going as a tourist? Let us know what you think of the sportsbook too.

I am a guest of the MGM (at the MGM) from Thurs-Sun and then I am staying a couple of days at the Wynn on my own dime. I will definately let everyone know what I think of the place. I plan on stopping at the Wynn shortly after I land this morning.

Shadow Creek is simply awesome. I got to caddy there one time. ONly way I could get on. Caddied in Wynn's group at near dusk and he walked right into me. He is legally blind. I think Wynn lets the kids from UNLv play at his courses. The kid from UNVL played great at Masters. Ryan Moore will be heard form again.l

LOL!

Actually, it was about a 153 yard par 3 against a beautiful waterfall background.

The guy I was caddying for let me play the hole since he knew we were not allowed to play the course.

Roughly a bogey golfer, but I landed a nice little 7-iron about 8 foot from the cup and drained the putt for the birdie.

I said right then and there that I intended to never play another hole at Shadow Creek. :):)

Not sure!

We were paid $100 per round and could accept no tips.
