I have my Neteller Account linked to my permanent address I maintain in the USA and I have the USA Card. However, I am outside the US for 8 months a year and want an International Card. However, they won't give me one saying that it is their policy but I was unable to get an actual explanation as to why it is policy. Does anyone know?

All they're are doing is costing themselves a substantial amount of fee money in my case.

its very possible that since they are "like a bank" and a debit card from neteller is like a debit card attached to your checking account.....that they reason as "a bank only offers accounts to residents of a given country so you can either live in the US (and get a US card) or live outside the US (And get an international card)

with the strange questions they ask at the banks these days.......its not hard for me to imagine such rule

I do not mind having the US card, but it is just that PULSE and STAR seem to not be worth s.hit where I have traveled internationally. I see mostly ATM's that accept PLUS, MAESTRO, and CIRRUS. All of the banks and credit card companies I have dealt with in the US are accepted at either PLUS or CIRRUS, so I do not see why the Neteller USA Card shouldn't be workable at these places. It's stupid.

I am pretty sure that they wouldnt issue me (a non US citizen or resident) an USA card, this is most likely a rule by the issuer (NOT neteller) , the issuer is trans union credit for the international cards and flvs? something like that for the USA ones

do you have someone you trust enough that could withdraw from neteller and put in your bank account? if so that seems to be the only solution

I forwarded this thread to Neteller last night hoping for a response/clarification. Neteller has posted here before. Anyhow, sorry for the troubles.

Zee, you missed the point. I want the card w/ the Maestro/Cirrus. I have the the card with Pulse/Star that isn't worth crap internationally. Read more closely.

I appologize. I didn't even know that there is a Pulse/Star card. All my buddies are with the Maestro/Cirrus one and when I ordered mine I wasn't given a choice so I assumed it's the same card for everyone.
