In my area, SBC is the primary carrier. A feature that I added for a minimal monthly cost was a Privacy Manager which allows my Caller I.D. to identify automatically every call that comes in. I no longer get the "Private Caller" indicator but a telephone number and where it's from. If I don't recognize it, I don't answer. The great feature about the Privacy Manager is it essentially wipes out all the computerized telemarketing calls as no one answers.
