Just two games...and no, it wasn't for steroids.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Injured Los Angeles Dodgers closer Eric Gagne was suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount Friday for violating the terms of a previous penalty imposed by Major League Baseball.

Gagne, who has been on the disabled list and hasn't pitched this season, was ejected on April 6. During the fifth inning of the Dodgers' game at San Francisco, he apparently heckled home plate umpire Bill Hohn about balls and strikes from the dugout, breaking rule 3.17 of the MLB rule book, which states that ``players on the disabled list ... may not take part in any activity during the game such as warming up a pitcher, bench jockeying , :lolBIG: etc.'' The Dodgers' right-hander then was directed not to be in uniform on the Dodgers' bench or in their bullpen during games while he remained on the DL. Violation of that stipulation led to the suspension.

I don't agree with that rule, but then again it is the same people ruling who keep Pete from the Hall.
