Al Franken will take down Norm Coleman in 2008 and become your Senator.

Mondale (former vice pres./'84 dem. nominee) didn't beat Coleman, but Minny will elect Franken???? OKAY

They'd have a better chance if they ran Jesse Ventura

I would think you would know this, but reading some of your posts it would be foolish to make that assumption. Mondale was a last minute replacement for incumbent Paul Wellstone, who died in a tragic plane crash in the days leading up to the election. Coleman, acting on advice from John Ashcroft (who lost his senate race to Mel Carnahan who had died under nearly identical circumstances), decided to lay low while the Republican noise machine disgustingly spread a bunch of lies about the Wellstone memorial service. Given that the Wellstone campaign was grieving and basically devastated by his death along with the death of several members of his staff, they weren't able to effectively refute the lies. Making the statement that Mondale couldn't beat Coleman is more than misleading and quite frankly a poor reflection on your knowledge of events (Not to mention the FACT that Jesse Ventura isn't a Democrat).

yeah, i remember the Memorial Service very well, and obviously the people of Minnesota remembered too when they went to the ballot box. It was so distasteful, even former PROFESSIONAL WRESTLER JESSE VENTURA (who knows plenty about distasteful, he used to work for Vince Mcmahon), walked out disgusted.

Ummmmm spread lies about his funeral service??? You have to be kidding me right? I live here and watched it live and there was nothing to lie about that disqusting pep rally that had many Democraps disqusted and even the campaign manager whole career blew up right in front of 18K people! Even without Wellstone dying the polls were neck and neck going into that election for your information.

I'll interpret the above as an admission that your statement regarding Mondale vs. Coleman as foolish one at best.

Bush booed at Pope's funeral. . .

Of course, this is from CBS News, so it's probably part of a liberal media conspiracy, like the Pulitzer Award winning felony murder pictures and the fake Schiavo memo:

When Mr. Bush's face appeared on giant screen TVs showing the ceremony, many in the crowds outside St. Peter's Square booed and whistled.

That is pretty damn hated, if you ask me. They must really hate the guy over there, for a bunch O' Catholics to be booing at the Pope's funeral. Naturally, Bush was very sensitive to this:

"I knew the ceremony today would be majestic but I didn't realize how moved I would be by the service itself," the president said. "Today's ceremony, I bet you, was a reaffirmation for millions."

In other words, didn't even realize it. Clueless as ever.
