For some reason you double paid me on a winning wager and I figure if I'm gonna be such a nice guy to let you know about it, I might as well get some kudos for it and do it in public.

It was on Saturday April 30, Washington over NY Mets, $721 to win $700, got paid $1421 twice by accident.

Please don't ask me to call in my account number. I'm sure I'm the only client of yours from Hungary who placed that exact bet. If you can't figure out who I am from that, then you deserve to lose the $$$.

Geez I hate these crappy sportsbooks who use underhanded tricks to try to give people extra money! :>Grin>

Just kidding of course. Mistakes are very rare at all good books in my experience, and the really good ones (like WSEX) are probably more likely to do it in the player's favor since they are aware of the huge costs in terms of image to do it the other way.

The actions taken by D.P. should be a something that is common sense to all of you.

If this happens to one of you, do the right thing and report it!

You will be much prosperous down the road in one way or the other.

Thanks guys. If it were a book who tried a shenanigan on me before, I probably wouldn't have reported it.

Co-operate first, tit-for-tat thereafter works for me.

But WSEX has shown nothing short of excellence and professionalism in the 5 or so years I've been with them, so it's a no brainer in this case.

General, I know what you mean. There are lots of examples of "nice guys finish last" in this world unfortunately.

I was accidentally credited large amounts of money over what I deposited twice, once at two different books. Both times I told them (and got rather small bonuses I must say). Both books were so grateful that they both eventually lowered my limits to pathetic levels.

The accounting record shows one wager placed and two payouts for the same wager. Seems these guys don't want their money...it still hasn't been corrected.

Darryl,
You might have better success if you call them instead of being an attention whore about the whole thing.

Ok, you're great. I'm so proud of you. You did the right thing.
Is that what you were looking for?

Yeah, I'm not sure why he's getting congratulated for this. He didn't actually report it, he told people in a public forum it happened and where he's from, and now the onus is on them to fix it if they see this?? Not exactly fully disclosing the issue.

Darryl,

Thank you for your honesty. The problem occured because the game was rain shortened and it was originally reduced by mistake. When we tried to correct
it we inadvertantly paid several people twice. You were the only customer who
brought it to our attention. We have corrected the mistake but would like you
to keep your money. We really appreciate your honesty.

I just called WSEX requesting STEVE and they told me he wasnt in,BUT they would call him at home and transfer the line so I could speak to him about a problem I was having.Sure enough he answered, spoke to me and told me exactly what was going on.And yes he answered honestly, and would try to fix the problem. This book is a solid A+ in my opinion.GREENHEAD

Interestingly enough, WSEX overpaid me by $2500 about a year ago. I think I made a post about it on here somewhere. Anyhow, they were quite adamant that they hadn't overpaid me, but I insisted. finally they found their error and asked that I send them the $2500 through Neteller, and I did. They offered me a 10% bonus on my next deposit as a reward for my honesty, which I suppose is pretty good. In addition, I made a wager last week that was incorrect. I called them within a few minutes and asked them to cancel it, which they did. The same thing happened to me once at Las Palmas, and they refused to cancel my wager, despite the fact that it was still hours before game time. So yes, I do applaud WSEX. And I also applaud the honesty of players who give the money back. Some people would argue that these books are crooks and that they would stiff you first chance they get....but in this world, you have to hold yourself to your own standard...not lower yourself to the pitiful standard of others.
