I find myself wondering why certain posters get a lot of attention in the sports forums. it has always been like this, but no matter what someones record is, they seem to get a lot of attention.

meanwhile, on the flip side of this, there are always certain cappers who are very solid and consistant who dont seem to garner much attention.

anyone else ever notice this?

yeppers!!! Positive record and positive units in the title usually helps...

It is sad that someone may be kicking butt, but if their record is not in the title many will miss out...

Best of luck to everyone!!!

Good question , for me its usually if the poster has been at the forum awhile and a winning record doesn't hurt.....Usually I follow my own picks and take a consensus of some of the others.Sometimes you see a poster that says this is going to win and I give it extra consideration...I give more consideration to posters that give a reason to why they picked what they picked as opposed posters that just give blind picks.Well thats my 2 cents.

I will not do this. I don't blame anyone who does but my personality is to be humble and I feel like I would be bragging by posting my record in the title. Besides, my only objective is to win with my plays, not to seek attention. Sure, it is nice when someone congratulates you or says good luck. I use this forum for information and for an entertaining place to keep track of my plays and record.

BG, very good point!!! :103631605

But, I personally miss out on good cappers if I don't see a record in the title. There are so many post to read... :icon_conf

Best of luck to you BG...I hope you have continued success!!!

I can guarantee RPM no one is following you....not after you misrepresented your entire record last year and then came out with that bogus ID called...RECORDKEEPER or something...

Losing like every other game without your LOSE COLUMN moving is a joke...

I am surprised you even post after that embarrassment

as far as posting records in the title, as long as the guy is posted an accurate record, more power to him. I don't consider it "bragging" if it's fact.

Ego - I actually don't think others are bragging when they do it but I feel like I am when I do it. :icon_conf That is why I said I don't blame others if they do. For some reason, I am uncomfortable with it and am not soliciting viewers anyway so I don't do it.

I dont think posting your record in the title is bragging. As long as you do it win or lose. I have seen some just put the record when they are winning and not when they are losing. I have a problem with that.

I understand, B & G. But, if you're posting your ytd record everyday, whether it's positve or negative, there should be no gripes. I used to put mine inside the thread, but I've been trying to remember it in the title, now.

I follow posters if they been Hot of late and show a respectable record, but I also like to read "short" write-ups on the teams they are playing, Like "tips" or situations that seems logical. But all you posters out there continue what you do best! GL to all, I have my "ears" on!:103631605
