I will start by saying Roger Clemens will be returning either the Yankees or Red Sox come August...

I will say New York, but Boston could make a run at The Rocket as well.

I dont think thats a longshot at all. You have a small market team, thats paying a guy $18 million on a team that will be at least 15 games out of 1st by the trade deadline. You better believe Roger would jump it the chance of ending his career on a winning note. The from Texas stuff does not matter if its only for 2 months.

Not a longshot since its in the Rockets contract to demand a trade to a contender if the Astros are out of playoff contention. His huge contract does limit the teams down to about 4 teams.

Clemens looks like he could pitch 3 more years, its unfortunate the Astros went in a different direction, losing Beltran changed alot about their immediate future...

What I don't understand is why Clemens drags it out every offseason as if he's done, only to come back and be lights out!

I think he's got 50 wins left in him on the right American League team.

Yankees, Mets and Cubs all miss the playoffs.

Either Chisox or Minny get wild card. Boston wins the East.

Padres get NL Wildcard. SF wins the division.

Jman:

Just can't see Clemens leaving his hometown at his age for any reason. He is enjoying being with his family more and really doesn't need either any additional money or a championship to fulfill his career. He will be a first ballot Hall of Famer and has accomplished about everything one could ask. Think the family will keep him at home.

Now, as for my semi-longshot: The Yankees won't make the playoffs.

Thanksgiving will be on a Thursday.

Christmas will fall on December 25th this year.

Yankees win one game playoff for wildcard spot ( vs. Red Sox) and go on to win World Series.

Iowa Hawkeyes go undefeated and get screwed out of the National Championship game.

Noreaga and WinkyDuck become best friends and Co-Head Moderators of the Rx.

ohhh no ego74 the padres have too many issues. i actually explain those in yesterdays thread OMT blue began for oldman ted. its here somewhere. but by the all star break the padres will be blown up.next i think USC may be in for a rough year.had leinhart known chow would move on he likely would have left.norm chow left because pete carroll is tight with TB bucs D coordinator monte kiffin. he promised monty he would take care of kiffins son lane. carroll told chow he wanted the kid to have more input in the play calling. chow said like hell and bailed. now usc has an inexperienced offensive coordinator and a qb with doubts.and florida wins the world series. the arizona cardinals become the most improved team in the nfl and make the playoffs.these guys should be damn good.~RG
