I use to live near a track in Florida so I would always put around $100 on a horse(s) to win for the triple crown races to make a little more interesting. Now that I have moved, I was going to bet using an online account. What would be the best sportsbook to put $ in, bet around $100 on the race, and pull out after?

I was thinking about putting $600 in pinnacle and just make sure I have $500 for the free withdrawal. Any other good books for horse racing for 1 day (free neteller, etc)?

When is the earliest I can bet on the race? I was thinking about the following for max enjoyment.

$15 Bellamy-Across the Board
$20 Noble-Place
$5 Exacta Box w/Afleet, Bellamy, Noble, High Limit

Thanks

There Is No Better Than Pinnacle....7% Rebate In Your Account At The End Of The Day...full Track Odd's And Great Match-up Betting. In The Horse Racing Forum, I Think We All Agree It's Pinny For Off-shore.

Pinnacle is one of the best. Good choice. You may want to toss out "High Limit". He showed nothing in his last race and does not have the speed rating to compete in this race.

my 2 cents:

If you are betting early, I don't think this makes sense. If you assume Bellamy goes off at his ML odds of 5-2, you would lose money on your $5WPS if he runs 3rd. Of course , day of the race, you might see huge pools and figure different - I am making the assumption that as the morning line fav he will be the favorite in the show pool. If you like him the best, why not take a shot with him in exactas or with other horses you like in in a triple key? Also , why just a place bet on Noble, if you think he can get close enough for 2nd, you gotta have a least $2 win on him in case he makes some late charge you don't want to be rooting "just come in second - don't win it". At 12-1 I would spread that $20 place bet out maybe in some exotics or else something like $3win, $6 place $11show on him

The exacta box I would weight it more to the 2 horses you like the best or a little to the projected odds at post time - otherwise you are putting out $60 where your best scenario is for Bellamy to run out and it seemed like he was the horse you liked best.

I agree with Chuck on High Limit, he is a speed horse who ran loose on the lead in his only race this year, he is not going to get that trip in here.

And you can't beat that 7% rebate from Pinny, it's free money

Don't bet till the afternoon of the race. At the point I don't see odds changing drastically.

I used to bet early on the derby because I am so sharp I wanted to lock in my value.....until the year I hammered AP Indy in the future books and then even more after the field was set.....and they scratched him Saturday morning.

Every year now I have guys say to me, "hey remember that year you had AP Indy at like 35-1....."
