Can Mathematics beat the "Book's Totals"?

Totals for season, posted very early in season: 3-4 (-0.55 units)

My sides record for YTD is listed each day in separate thread.

Mathematical Plays for thursday:

1. Atl/Hou over 8.5 (+1.09)

2. SD/Stl Under 9 (+1.07)

3. Pitt/AZ under 9.5 (-1.04)

4. TB/NY under 11 (+1.11)

each play for 1 unit. testing a mathematical formula, similiar to one that i did with the nba.. record was only 141-125 (+7.75 units) in NBA, so not advising anyone to play these.. Listed pitchers only...

chop, im always looking for ways to make a little extra. i wont stay with anything that doesnt work.. made a small amount in the nba with it, currently up over 24 units in MLB sides, also up +4.26 units in the nba playoffs.. point being i dont often come up on the short side,, if this blows up (ill stop it)..

My theroy was that with totals, the books put up a PERCEIVED total and not a true mathematical total.. of course with the math, it depends in large parts to what filters you are using.. I am using only 4 filters with this, ive been waiting on May to do this, so i would have enough data... Flat betting this at pinnacle for only 1 unit, and do not advise anyone to follow.. If i lose, its my money lost. Hope it works as well, but you never know..

SSi can you go into your system a little bit more in detail? I asked you last week about your systems and you said you would post later, if you have time I am interested in hearing your 2 baseball systems.

vegas, sorry i didnt get back to you... my system for totals is simply a mathematical formula that im using to find a more true total.. the book's total is more a PERCEIVED total.. dont really want to share the information at the moment (mainly becuase its too early)... if and only if, it is successful, ill talk more about it..

as for sides, my system is simply playing for a team not to be swept during their series.. if game 1 loses, ill play 2 units on game 2.. for the most part only playing games 2 and 3 in a series... its not random however, i have a certain criteria that im using to select which teams to play and which to skip..

this is for the early plays on saturday... ill update the record and post all plays in my format style later on saturday, beginning with play 20.. all plays for 1 unit.. dont advise anyone to follow, merely testing a system with small dollar amounts ($100)...
