Houston +350 to win the series before game 6

What will Dallas be to win game 7? Somewhere around -240?

Yes. Played Dallas to win the series when they were down 1-0 at -110. Then played Rockets to win the series earlier today at +350 to win the series. Also played Houston -2 in tonight's game, as posted in the NBA forum, as my strongest playoff game thus far. This series has been money for me. I do like the Rockets to win game 7, as they are a very very confident group. They have won 2 out of the three in Dallas, so they know they can win there. I expect them to close it out Saturday night and then upset Phoenix in the next round, before losing to the Spurs in the West Finals.

-190 at pinnacle

yea I just got some of that

SB - I picked Dallas to win the west, I think you are right for game 7, losing this game tonight by 18 helps them where a close or controversial loss (like Indy had) I think would hurt

What is the point of this thread? You feel the need to pat yourself on the back? Why not start a thread letting us know that there was free money to be made before the game started. If it was free money why not just play Houston to win the game on the money line? Or better yet lay the small number.

This is not even mentioning that you are obviously not very smart. If you thought the line would be -240 on dallas in game 7 that is pretty dumb and what you did assuming that number was downright assanine.

If you risked 100 to get 350 on rockets to win series and 316.80 to win 132 on dallas to hedge to scoop up your FREE MONEY as you put it after they won already you would win 32 or 33.20. Take your 100 risk divided by those numbers and best case scenario you get-303 on your risk reward. The line last night was -186 on Houston. So why the hell would you risk 303 to get 100 instead of 186 to get 100 is what I would like to know. Ofcourse, considering your post came after the game was over tells us a lot about you. Maybe you don't win often so when you do you need the pat on the back. Sorry to be harsh, but I don't like people saying how smart they are AFTER the game is over.

thanks - I believe I posted a question: DID anyone take....

Where am I patting myself on the back? Where do you see me state that I played Houston +350? I did say I took Dallas at -190 and also that I have them to win the West.

You dissected the money angle pretty well, maybe that is what "FREE" means, it wasn't as free as it seemed. There might be people who have Houston to win the series at whatever price and now that we are in a game 7, they are considering if it is worthwhile to hedge some for whatever reasons that was the point of this thread.

I did not play this (probably becuse I am not too bright) but maybe he meant there was more VALUE in playing houston to win on the future than playing the games individually

risk 500 on Hou +350 to win series returns 1750
while

risking 500 ongame 6 ML (-185) returns 270.27
then playing the 770.27 at (assumed) +200 returns 1540.54

so it would have been smarter to play the future than the indivudal games

just cehcked Houston is +172 at Pinny which would have made the future play an even better value

nothing free about that assasin, that is called actual wagers, not arbitrage as the word free insinuates.

Definitely a risky play

I concur "free money" is probably a misleading term

He could have stated a "higher potential return" from the future wager vs. the individual ML's.

Happy mothers day to all
