What triggers a book to do this?? betting styles??? betting amounts and wins all of a sudden are much bigger???

and are most polite about it...since this will NEVER happen to me ( though I wish it would just once for winning to much) im curious how they determine it

I don't get it. All action should be balanced out. THEY ARE STILL RECIEVING JUICE FROM WINNERS THAT WAY. Guy bets on team X, (sharp) line moves other players bet on team Y better line per live lines etc. THAT IS THE WAY IT SHOULD WORK OUT.

WE LIVE IN THE COMPUTER AGE, BOOKMAKERS MAY FIND THIS HARD TO UNDERSTAND but think of it like baccarat evreytime a winner gets paid they pay a commission or craps where every time the 6 dollar six hits they in theory keep 20 cents true odds 6.00 wins 7.20.

WINNERS SHOULD BE WELCOMED, just at a point maybe reduce there per bet minimun and everything should be fine. They can bet so much each time just the line may or may not adjust, seems fair to me.

BOOKS sending winners packing are just hurting themselves or admitting they have no clue how to book, period.

LAY THE ACTION OFF OR BET IT YOURSELF ELSEWHERE IF THE GUY IS SO GOOD.

5team..I used to think they make money on either side but apparently I have learned from these forums that it is no balanced on each side at all...

When I got kicked out of Linewiz, there was NO communication, my passowrd just stopped working and there was my balance transfered to my neteller account (future play cancelled, but SBR got it re-instated).

The first reason I was given was I was winning to much and my balance had gotten too high (mostly nickle plays, ended up about 12). When I talked with them and noted 7.5 of those units were from 1 big ML dog, they calrified and said it wasn't so much that I won, but more my betting style. I always seemed to bet the "right side" (these were not steam plays, but value plays on my part). They didn't understand that a player had more than 1 out, and only bet the best number at 1 book. I didn't bet "bad lines" and often called them int point them out (no reward eitheer, but I knew that).

Another book I have played with for 2 years gave me a "compliment" this week. THey lowered my non full game (ML and ATS) plays to $100. I was allowed to call in or double pop on the net though. Then yesterday they requested no double popping and call in were also limited to 100 max. We had a very nice chat, no hard feelings, it was just business. Reason given was I had just been killing them (which I have, it has been a very good streak).

Maybe a book maker can chime in. I think its more the play style than the winning, imho.

my guess is that it's when you beat them to a line move one too many times....

assassin,

just want to give you props for not coming into the forums and trashing the book for lowering your limits to protect themselves. :103631605

Dante , I just try to spread my action around the best way i can to prevent from one shop geting hammered by me any more then they have to. Sometimes it doesn't work out that way, because some shops will have "interesting " lines or props that you just can't lay off of. Case in point Aces Gold, and most recently My Bookie

by the way, i am down $2,000 at pinnacle lifetime so i am not claiming i win all the time.

I would like to know myself, because I have worked in several offices in my life and I have never witnessed one booted, I had several agents call because the player didnt pay the agent so the agent cut them off till they paid.

I've heard of sportsbooks limiting a player's action but never turning away their business. Reputable books that is.

Not my style. Like I said, we had a nice discussion. They really did say it was a "compliment". I have always liked the book, and continue to use them. My guess is that they will see over time that I was just on a good streak and make some adjustment (or not). Many other reasons to play with them then just these specific wager types. I did appreciate that they called me to discuss the issue and that they let all existing wagers stand as is (even though they were popped multiple times).

wagers made last night before the change I was 2-1 but -1.3 units.

Its all good.

When I was hurting a book on their HT lines, they lowered the limits for HT bets, but let the rest stand.

I do NOT know if they lowered their HT limits totally, or they just lowered it for me.

The bad news for them was that I am not a sharp - not even close. I was just on a roll for a month, and when I eventually lost it all back, they didn't get a piece of the pie.

Reputable Sportsbooks don't throw you just for winning. If you are part of a betting syndicate that is circumventing max bets by making simultaneous bets then you will see your limits cut or account closed. Its only the S-H-I-T phony books that open a book thinking its an easy way to make money that says we only cater to "recreational bettors". Translation: Lose your money with us or play elsewhere.

Not true. I was booted by a reputable A plus rated sportsbook I had played at for over 4 years and the reason I was given was they want to make money and they didn't like the way I bet dogs a lot. I had gone on a long winning streak there when I was booted but in the past had lost a ton with the same betting "style". Considering I am not a big player and the book is rated A+ it kind of shocked me but it is their right. Other places beg me to play though so I did find it funny. They paid prompt and I would never badmouth them but they certainly do not deserve an A+ rating if they only want people to bet into lines the way they want you to IMO. They dont advertise here by the way.

I don't think pinnacle will give you any problems if you do well. I have made over 10k there each of the last two months and haven't had any problems with payouts, no phone calls not even an email. Just business as usual.

If any daily players are net winners at Pinnacle would you please step forward.

The books that cutoff winners should be exposed and then avoided by other players.

wanderer, Rated A+ books does not mean they are reputable. The A+ rating means they pay their kickbacks and advertising fees on time. Only a handful of books are truly reputable. Did you get booted from one of those "recreational players only" phony books? The kind that inflate the favored line to make a killing on their sucker clientele, and then throw out anybody that has clue and bets the dog? Those places are not real books in my eyes.

Those of you who stated beating them to line moves are correct...

I once got thrown out of CANBET (well, my limits were reduced dramatically) after I lost 4 out of 5 bets the first day I wagered with them, however all the games moved in my favor!!!

Books don't like winners & they especially don't like winners that beat them to numbers.
