Lets not even discuss the clowns in the bullpen for the Cards

Cards bullpen....12 out of 13 in save opps this season which is best in the NL!! That is with their closer on the DL right now. Sorry bout that.

I'm not a fan of either.
They both suck
Lets look how many runs the Cards pen has allowed

It's something like 30 runs in the last 4 games

:lolBIG: :lolBIG: :dancefool

P.S. I'm not talking about just getting the win, I'm talking about giving up runs

Last 4 games they've only given up 22 total so I don't know what games you've been watching to come up with 30 from bullpen. Team ERA is 3rd in the league at 3.51. Best team in the Majors...sorry bout that.

22 Runs from the 8th-9th inning

IN 4 GAMES

and you think that's good...

Yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikes

I was going to post some stats but they didn't format properly...AND it was too long to copy in one swoop

:digit:

I'm certain 70% of non homers agree with me, their bullpen BLOWS..but can't argue with someone who thinks 22 runs in 4 games...between the 8th and 9th inning is OK

Thats 22 runs total ding dong. Not a homer here...just stating facts. Good piece of advise... Don't chirp in on anything when you don't know what you are talking about. I would say half those were off 2 pitchers not with the team any longer....yes..cards have best staff in baseball.

They gave up 22 runs as a team....the bullpen gave up 13 of those runs. Their bullpen will catch up with them this year though. It was excellent last year, but now they are missing Calero and Haren from the Mulder trade and Steve Kline walked as a free agent, plus Ray King is one KFC bucket away from the independent league.

In 60.2 innings of relief, cardinals relievers have given up 28 earned runs. 10 of those by 2 pitchers no longer with the team over 7.1 innings. Take those innings and runs away, you have a 3.22 ERA from your bullpen which is very respectable number. Closer is currently on 15 day DL too and they've only got one blown save. 12 of 13 which is tops in the league.

It's a bit early to be drawing any conclusions. I think their bullpen is weaker this year than last year, but only time will tell.
