There is a chance they will play in October (2005/2006 season). At some point someone has to come to their senses or the NHL as we knew it will be just a memory.

I wish I liked Hockey more...I use to love Hockey as a kid, we had an AHL team Baltimore Clippers, they were pretty competitive...Hockey is a much different and exciting game in person, more so than any of the major sports...

I cannot believe they would sit out another year.

Hockey is much better in person. On tv it's good to put you to sleep quickly.

I don't think they will be playing this season. They should wake up before they loose a good thing.

No there won't be hockey. This really sucks for the fans and the younger players.

I have a friend that was one of the Hobey Baker finalists this year who would be playing in Europe right now if it weren't for the strike. Because of the strike all of the NHL players have spiked the talent pool in such a way that what used to be developmental leagues for the NHL are now full of NHL players. I just hope they get this figured out before Crosby turns 18 or I will form my own league and pay him 10 million a year to anchor it.
