is it all based on percentages ?

are trainers paid a salary only ?

i would imagine the jockeys get paid a fee + a cut of the purse . does anybody know how much though ?

i'm thinking about dropping a few pounds and climbing aboard.....

it used to be that jockeys get a "set amount" per mount, then i believe 10% of the race winnings, i think....

Trainers i would guess are the same, a salary plus probably 10%, maybe a little more for them...

I believe the Jockeys make between $50 and $60 per mount and 10% of the purse. I have no clue about the trainers.
