im telling you heads are about to roll in san diego. with the arrival of sandy alderson padres GM kevin towers and manager bruce bochy will be blown out and over paid under achieving players like nevin,burroughs,giles and klesko will be gone too. this butt kicking isnt funny. its sad.
SD had won 6 straight before this one, Roxy. I know you sound excited about running half the organization out of town, but I don't believe that's Alderson's style. Yeah, he probably wants to make changes, but he's still evaluating these guys. The only way they make major changes before the offseason is if this squad is out of contention. They'll be in the division race all season.
guys i know the padres are playing well,im not totally stupid.lol. but i live in sd and i know what im hearing. they arent putting butts in the shiny new seats of petco park and owner john moores may be about to sell. this city was promised high profile free agents IF we gave them a new ballpark.we did and he didnt. alderson was brought here from the league office for a reason.the belief is its to transition to new ownership,possibly to alderson and others,and to remake the club. if you need more on this go to the offshore forum and find the thread by blue edwards titled OMT. it was a post from blue to oldman ted and i detailed what has become of the team and why. i wont rehash it here.but i was on STL today too. so im very happy right now. the braves too. and texas,what a day!
